“BioFuel Oasis was founded in 2003 to provide greater access to biodiesel, a renewable fuel that reduces harmful tailpipe emissions. We are a women/worker-owned & operated cooperative that values sustainability, local production, and community.”
I met Amy one of the worker owners in March 2012 and she told me her personal story how she got to be part of this co-op in Berkeley. The worker owners have a slogan . they want to do things that make their hearts sing so they got involved in more and more issues they are interested in.They started only with selling recycled bio diesel and have grown to an urban farm store which is as well giving educational workshops. So the store is growing and more workers want to be worker owners which is a great sign for the future of Bio Fuel Oasis
